Nude sisterhood picnic
What a ridiculously beautiful day celebrating and honouring the feminine spirit!
In a world that often values competition over collaboration, this gathering was a refreshing change of pace in a speedy world. We came together in sisterhood and entered that space where it feels safe to tap into our intuition, creativity, and expression while feeling a sense of belonging and acceptance.
As I reflect on some of the magic from this delicious day I was a part of with @wearetutti @wilunastudio & @verocoya my wish is that every women in the world feels part of a sisterhood in some way.
Spending time connecting with women and the Earth is deep medicine and when women gather magic happens ✨
@verocoya shared these beautiful words:
“When women come together and are free and naked and dancing and sharing food and swimming and laying in the sun, something just heals inside of me. All the stories of comparison, not fitting in, not being pretty enough or having the perfect body just fucks off in the wind and I absorb the feminine glory around me with awe and reverence. I remember that I am a part of it”
We began with our bare feet on the Earth in circle as Britney & Stefanie from @malara_rise welcomed us to Country and we each shared our intentions for coming to the gathering - a common theme was connection, feeling more comfortable in our skin and experiencing freedom and liberation with sisters.
There was a giant python sunning itself right next to us, I took this as an absolute blessing (Historically, serpents and snakes represent fertility or a creative life force. As snakes shed their skin through sloughing, they are symbols of rebirth, transformation, immortality, and healing).
When guiding the girls through the process of building a giant womb out of natural materials foraged from the area, we were not just constructing an Earth Altar, we were also working together to create a sacred space to connect, listen, feel, ground and harmonize our energy with the natural world around us. The Altar revealed itself as a beautiful symbol of our reverence and gratitude for our physical bodies and the Earth.
We painted each others bodies - which was such a fun and creative way to connect with each other and enjoyed the most abundant picnic spread. Everyone bought a dish for our picnic lunch which we enjoyed surrounded by nature deepening our connection to the earth. The lunch was next level with such a diverse and abundant spread of different food. Sharing food in this way allows a deep sense of community and togetherness, as we came together to appreciate all the gifts that nature provides.
We finished off the arvo chatting, singing, dancing, swimming and simply being in each other's presence with a sense of connection and belonging that is so deeply nourishing. These kinds of gatherings not only provide space for women to express themselves freely but also allow for the exploration and celebration of femininity in its various forms. The shared experience of the day has left a lasting impact on all of us, reminding everyone involved of the importance of female companionship.
These gatherings are medicine! Where ever you find yourself in the world, I highly recommend gathering your sisters, each prepare a plate of something delicious, immerse yourself in nature, surround yourself with flowers and let the magic unfold!
Here’s to many more women’s gatherings far and wide across the land! 🌸
