what is earth altering?
Earth Altering is a project that Prue - the founder - has been passionately working on since 2020, when her health was drastically compromised, resulting in some abrupt and unexpected life changes.
At a time when she was in the depths of mental, physical, spiritual and emotional darkness she turned to the Earth for support.
Connecting to the Earth every day lead her to creating these offerings as a portal to send her prayers, fears, emotions, dreams and gratitude. This practice has become a big part of her healing journey and significantly changed Prue’s life.
Her mission is to now share what she has learned through this beautiful and magical art with others.
ABOUT PRUE RUSTEAN
The personal insights and healing Prue has experienced from spending time in nature, creating Earth Altars, turning her attention inward to connect with herself and the natural world has been extremely profound and has been a vital part of her personal healing journey.
Creating some time to check in with ourselves and explore some simple and practical tools to balance our mental, spiritual, physical and emotional health has become something she feels very passionately about sharing.
Through this work Prue hopes to help others deepen their relationship with themselves, feel more connected to the Earths powerful energy, promote healing, embrace change, inspire creativity, feel more confident to speak and live your personal truth, experience more freedom, joy, pleasure, self expression, connection, truth, integrity, authenticity, passion, purpose, playfulness and pleasure.

THE IMPORTANCE OF EARTH ALTARS
The wisdom of our Indigenous people teaches one simple truth: We are all connected in the great circle of life, and this magnificent Planet is Mother to us all. If we want to continue as a species and improve our Planetary health, we must take care of, learn from and love the natural world.
At times the future predictions of our Planet don’t feel particularly promising or pleasant, many of us find ourselves living unfulfilled lives, we are caught up in our minds, we have no idea what we are passionate about, what we stand for or even how we really feel. A very powerful way to begin our path back to ourselves, Mother Earth and our ancient knowledge is by learning from the Indigenous people and those who have been taught the old ways of respecting and honouring Mother Nature and the Elements.
Nature and people are part of the one system. We are not separate from nature. We are nature. Therefore when we hurt nature and the Earth, we hurt ourselves as well. Once we have a relationship with Mother Earth and learn how to love and respect her again, we strengthen the relationship with ourselves and we heal in the process.
TESTIMONIES FROM SOME OF OUR ONLINE COURSE STUDENTS
THE ORIGIN OF EARTH ALTARS
The information I offer has been inspired by the Medicine Wheel from the Native People of North America but it is not the same practice and does not attempt to be an imitation of the Medicine Wheel practice. The courses and workshops I offer include rituals, practices and tools that have consistently supported me while following the Medicine Wheel’s base concept of honouring the four directions and elements. I am not trained in the deeper traditions behind the use of Medicine Wheels and do not wish to represent them inaccurately however I do feel it is important to honour the Medicine Wheel in which this tool is rooted.

“Earth Altering respectfully acknowledges the traditional owners and custodians of the land on which they create, live and travel. We honour First Nations perspectives and cultural narratives and pay our deepest respects to Elders past, present and emerging.”
