Ameriga’s Earth Altering journey
One of my greatest joys lately has been guiding others in bringing collaborative Earth Altars into their offerings, weaving this practice into unique events all over the world. My 1:1 coaching sessions have become such a beautiful space for connection, where I get to share what I’ve learned about facilitating Earth Altar workshops while also witnessing the creative ways people are integrating this work into their own communities.
Every workshop is different, shaped by the land, the facilitator, and the people gathering. Some are deep and ceremonial, others playful and spontaneous - but at the core, they all hold the same intention: to connect with the Earth in an intentional and creative way.
It’s been incredibly inspiring to see this practice ripple out into spaces I never would have imagined.
Meet Ameriga: Yogi, Astrologer, Witch & Life coach
And allow yourself to be transported to the enchanting winter landscape of Trentino nestled by the majestic Dolomites mountains in Italy for her recent womans gathering.
Ameriga from @ameriga_spirit reached out for a 1:1 coaching session because she felt drawn to incorporating an Earth Altar into her upcoming event “Witches in the Woods” - an intimate, mystical retreat in the snowy mountains, where women came together to explore embodiment, magic, and deep connection with nature. During our session we discussed ideas about incorporating a collaborative Earth Altar workshop as a key part of the experience.
1:1 coaching call
How was the Coaching Session?
“Great! thanks! you put me really at ease and I was happy to be able to share my idea about the snow ceremony with you and get some feedback.”
How do you feel now after the call with me VS before the coaching guidance?:
“I feel much clearer about the steps and the timings of how to do the foraging, and I am conscious now that I have to prepare some things in advance too.”
Seeing photos of how this event unfolded has brought me so much joy!
What is your intention behind purchasing this service? What is your ideal outcome? What is your dream / goal?:
“I run retreats where nature connection is a big part of them. I will have a retreat on the snow in the mountains in February and think it would be a great activity to build an earth altar together with the group.
I always hold an opening circle ceremony at the beginning of my retreats, and I always build an altar at the center, sometimes I have asked the students to build an altar together with me, and I would like to learn from you how to coordinate the group and ensure that the result is beautiful!”
When Ameriga told me about the location - surrounded by snow-covered trees and crisp mountain air - I felt so excited for what could unfold. We talked about how to adapt the practice to the winter landscape, how to ensure there are enough materials, and how to create something truly collaborative and meaningful.
The photos she later sent me were pure magic ✨
Was this session what you expected & desired?
“Yes! I think for me it helped to clarify certain steps that I wasn’t sure about after the online course and it helped to hear about your experience running group Earth Altering sessions.”
In which ways do you believe Earth Altars can uplift & improve your workshops and events?
“Definitely providing people with a nature connection activity, helping people get creative and bound with the others.”
What is your dream Earth Altar workshop vision?
“To get better at designing them so that maybe one day I can create Earth Altars for festivals and events here in Italy.”
Moments like these remind me why I love this work. Seeing the Earth Altar practice take root in different landscapes, through different voices, and in different communities is a gift. It’s an ever-evolving conversation between humans and the Earth - one that can be woven into so many different experiences, from mountain retreats to beach gatherings to city parks.
Ameriga’s snowy Earth Altar was just one iteration of this practice, and I know there are so many more waiting to be created. I can’t wait to see where it goes next.
If you’re feeling called to guide Earth Altar workshops in your own events, I’d love to support you in bringing this practice to life.
My 1:1 coaching sessions are open, and I’d be honoured to co-create with you.
Thank you Ameriga for trusting me, for showing up for yourself, and of course, for helping me on my mission to spread this practice as far and wide as possible!
Nothing warms my heart more than seeing your dreams of creating your own Earth Altar events flourishing so beautifully, what an honour to have been a part of your journey!
May you keep shining brightly and spreading magic across the land.
xx,
Prue.
